He see's you, and knows your name.

John 1:35-42 New (NLT)

35 The following day John was again standing with two of his disciples. 36 As Jesus walked by, John looked at him and declared, “Look! There is the Lamb of God!” 37 When John’s two disciples heard this, they followed Jesus.

38 Jesus looked around and saw them following. “What do you want?” he asked them.

They replied, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?”

39 “Come and see,” he said. It was about four o’clock in the afternoon when they went with him to the place where he was staying, and they remained with him the rest of the day.

40 Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of these men who heard what John said and then followed Jesus. 41 Andrew went to find his brother, Simon, and told him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means “Christ”).

42 Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. Looking intently at Simon, Jesus said, “Your name is Simon, son of John—but you will be called Cephas” (which means “Peter”).

I remember the first time I saw my husband.  I did not know his name.  I did not know his father’s name.  I saw him knowing nothing about him, yet I felt something very strong.  I felt this deep longing to speak with him.

God see’s us and knows our parents, and absolutely every detail about us.  Our whole past and future yet lived, is laid bare before His eyes.  He alone truly gets us, for He is the One who designed us for His purposes.  He put unique qualities in each of us and alone knows what is best for us.

I also remember  the state I was in, the first time I saw my husband..  I was grieving a broken relationship.  I thought I would marry this person, and I was devastated that he chose someone else.  I had no idea, God was showing me His choice for my future.  I was seeing my true love.  My heart did leap at just the sight of Art, even in my intense grief and pain.

God sees us, and calls us by name.  He shows up when He wants to, and it may not seem like the best timing.  He speaks in the midst of storms, war, and chaos.  He shows you things to come, when you don’t even ask for it!

When we see Him, and hear Him, it is like nothing on earth we have ever experienced.   No one loves us like God!   He is that person we have been looking for our entire life.  His gaze, and His voice leave us undone.  It is that still small voice we have always heard even before we knew that it was His voice.  He is God, and He deals with us on a level that is difficult to explain.

The earth trembles, the wind blows, and we are filled with wonder and peace that only comes from having a moment with Him.  When He calls, respond.  When He looks upon you with intent, do not look away.  When He speaks, listen with your heart wide open.

Take note the next time He speaks or shows you something that rocks your world.   He is up to something.  I assure you, it is beyond good and beyond what you need.  It is His best!
