Sweet Satisfying Companionship

Psalm 25:8-15 (AMPC)

8 Good and upright is the Lord; therefore will He instruct sinners in [His] way.

9 He leads the humble in what is right, and the humble He teaches His way.

10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and steadfast love, even truth and faithfulness are they for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.

11 For Your name’s sake, O Lord, pardon my iniquity and my guilt, for [they are] great.

12 Who is the man who reverently fears and worships the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way that he should choose.

13 He himself shall dwell at ease, and his offspring shall inherit the land.

14 The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning.

15 My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He will pluck my feet out of the net.

Sweet Satisfying Companionship

Humility, Obedience, Fear (reverence), Worship, Prosperity, Fulfillment, Understanding, and Confidence are all mentioned here in light of a  healthy believer's life.

Let’s look at the flip side:

Pride, Disobedience, Arrogance, Idolatry, Poverty, Dissatisfied, Confusion, and Fear (dreadful alarm) are all marks of a godless life.

The fruit of a true believer's life is a secret only found when we surrender our will and let God have us, fully.  He becomes our Sweet  Satisfying Companion.  Nothing can be withheld from God, in order for the benefits of the true covenant He designed for you to be unlocked and flow freely.

Luke 17:33 the message

33 If you grasp and cling to life on your terms, you’ll lose it, but if you let that life go, you’ll get life on God’s terms.

I have noticed some people have such a hard time with that initial surrender.  They get deceived into thinking they will lose something they can never get back, and may end up in a place of regret.  The exact opposite is true, and only revealed after we let go and let God!  If you knew how good God is, you would quickly surrender all to Him.  All He has is good planned for you.
