Psalm 16: 7-9 KJV
7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8 I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
I have always found myself drawn to a quiet place in God, that is full of stillness that calms my soul. He is always there, and just being in His presence fulfills me.
Never underestimate the power of taking a little time to “set the Lord before you.” As you look upon Him, you will see beauty and truth that will infuse you with inner strength, hope and joy. As you pour out your heart to Him, He will meet you with wisdom and understanding.
There is a skill or art in learning to turn inward and getting over into the spirit. Many fail to discover this place of rest, joy and freedom. His name is Jesus, and He is waiting to meet you in praise, prayer, and supplication to be your guide into the deeper meaning of life.
If you are tired of a life full of so many task, distractions, and obligations that leave you feeling spent and unfulfilled, I encourage you to “take a little time to set the Lord before you.” Let your heart pour out to God, and He will in turn pour His heart into you. You will never leave that place of communion the same; your hope will grow, your faith will ignite, and love will overflow.
