Isaiah 41:10-13 (AMPC)
10 Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.
11 Behold, all they who are enraged and inflamed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; they who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish.
12 You shall seek those who contend with you but shall not find them; they who war against you shall be as nothing, as nothing at all.
13 For I the Lord your God hold your right hand; I am the Lord, Who says to you, Fear not; I will help you!
Have you ever been in a place where you were surrounded by opposition and possible collapse at every angle of your life? Every other relationship seems tested and challenged, full of mixed messages. One day you feel loved, the next day you feel forgotten. You do not know who you can truly trust.
It is in those seasons, you must make sure you are walking so close to God, you can feel His hand holding yours. You hear His footsteps guiding you, and you can hear the faintest whisper of His voice.
He alone is fully for you at all times, in all ways. Don’t expect this type of loyalty from fallen/redeemed humanity. It's just not fair to expect others to be fully like God!
Misplaced expectation is such a roller coaster of highs and lows. People can be what you want and need some of the time, but never all the time. We all have our demons to slay, and our minds to renew. Only God will travel with you with constant unconditional love and affectionate affirmation. He alone fully gets you, and still fully loves you!
Overtime, you will learn how to face difficulties with realistic expectations that are full of grace for yourself and others. Acknowledging, you don’t fully see the whole picture, only God does. He is in everybody's corner, doing all that He can to get them to a place of victory and triumph!
Holding God’s Hand,
