“a huge beautiful Maple tree in Scotland I was standing under recently”
21 I will praise You, For You have answered me, And have become my salvation. 22 The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. 23 This was the Lord’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. 24 This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.
How much time do you spend marveling at the Light? Do you take the time to stop and soak up all of God's beauty, all of His wonder, and all of His goodness. Or do you tend to marvel at darkness?
When the enemy of your soul sings his song of darkness showing you pictures of your demise, I challenge you to look up into the face of your heavenly Father and behold His beauty. Your soul will begin to sing of His marvelous salvation and His good plan for your life. Your heart will rejoice and be glad when you are mindful of His gift revealed in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Everyday I hope you will stop to marvel at Light focusing on what is beautiful and pure. When a bad report comes, or you see something dark, refuse to marvel at that image of defeat and ugliness. Through prayer coupled with thanksgiving and praise, look away from the darkness and focus on truth and beauty found only in God's Light, The darkness will fade away never getting the chance to lead your soul into heaviness and unrest. You must refuse focusing on things that pull you down and leave you confused and discouraged. No one else can do this for you, because you alone are the gatekeeper of your joy! Jesus paid far too high a price for you to be once again ensnared into any type of bondage.
