Naked and Empty Handed
That’s how we came into the world, and that is how we will leave!
11They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Revalation 12:11
What have we done with Jesus is all that will matter when we enter into death and step into our final destination. Did we receive Him, love Him and go on to know and obey Him? This life in the natural realm is quickly passing, but our life in the spirit realm will never end. We must contend to remain mindful of the unseen realm and allow our hearts to be anchored in the truth of His word, kingdom, and soon return. He promised He is coming for His Church and He is looking for faith.
We can spend so much time taking our experience in this temporary realm much more serious than we take our experience in the unseen realm with God. Lower yourself and exalt Him. Let go and let God. Cast your care and hold onto your peace. Your life is in His hands, and that is a secure, powerful, place to be.16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2Cor. 4:16-18 NIV
We must daily meet God on His terms through yielding our will to His ways and taking the time to renew our minds in His Word. Then your heart and affections will be set on high, far above the temporary trials of life. Nothing will overcome you in this place of communion with your Father.1Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4 NIV
Never reduce God to mere human experience, or try and bring Him down to your terms. That is precisely when you will find yourself loving your life more than you love God, losing heart and throwing your hands up in frustration. That is a dangerous place to be called PRIDE.
