Isaiah 42:1-3 (NLT)
1. “Look at my servant, whom I strengthen.
He is my chosen one, who pleases me.
I have put my Spirit upon him.
He will bring justice to the nations.
2. He will not shout
or raise his voice in public.
3. He will not crush the weakest reed or put out a flickering candle.
He will bring justice to all who have been wronged.”
In light of this beautiful description of our Lord Jesus, my prayer is that we “Love Like God.” We are all vulnerable at different times in our lives, and the enemy of our soul is sure to send the bully to pick on us. May we all, as believers and fellow human beings, be sent to the vulnerable and hurting to include, lift up, and comfort.
America, and the nations of the world, are all casting their anti-bullying campaigns. But God was the first to send the biggest anti-bully campaign in the form of one man, His Son, Jesus Christ.
My heart truly breaks every time I hear of another child or teen suicide because of bullying. As in the case of this young 12 yr. old girl who took her life in September, Rebecca Ann Sedwick. She was bullied by many and despite her mother moving her to another school to protect her, the bullies still got to her through social media. Here is a link to the story of one brave Sheriffwho has had enough and taken bold action.
Let us as God’s Girl’s do everything we can to “Love Like God.” It will be worth it if we are used to save one life, or see one bully converted!
Love In Him,
