"Is There A Hack For That?"

"Not that I have now attained this ideal, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus has laid hold of me and made me His own.   I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward."  Philippians 4:12, 14 (AMPC)

We are the first generation of Authentic Hackers, or so I've been told.  Even though the concept has lived as long as Mankind, apparently we're the first ones to name it and own it.  I admit I've asked the question, "Is there a 'hack' for that?"  at least a few times.

Hack:  a shortcut; ingenuity; a trick; arriving at the result using tactics that are faster and easier than the traditional path.

Originally, the term "Hack" was used to identify unauthorized access to digital information. Someone hacked your computer.  Or, someone hacked your bank account.  Today the term means you've found a way to do something in a clever or creative way.  I'm all for it if it works; and maximizes resources, while uncovering lasting benefits.  We must understand; however, that some of the most precious things in our lives simply cannot be hacked!

  • Love
  • Character
  • Integrity
  • Promises from God
  • The Presence of God
  • Fellowship with God
  • Salvation by God's grace
  • Your destiny

Each of these Vitals are the result of a progressive work that God is doing in your life.  Each requires personal investment, challenge, and change to access their rich blessings.  The Spirit of This Age will make great effort to convince you that there must be some way to hack into God's work and will for your life! This idea always ends with the adage, "You may get what you want.  But you'll not want what you get!"

God has created you to pursue Him and His will for your life.  An invaluable and incalculable portion of the prize you're pressing for is becoming all that He's purposed you to become in the journey!  Trying to hack your destiny is like trying to cross the finish line without having run in the race.  The prize ahead is worth the pressing!  So, no, there's not a hack for that!
